BMore News: On The Statewide Ban

I want to thank BmoreNews and the author of this piece on our ongoing fight against data centers in Prince George’s County. Its so hard to imagine where we’d be right now as a county without independent local outlets like BmoreNews making sure to document working people’s struggles here in the county and more broadly the region. This work is so essential, especially when the other side has corporate PR budgets and we don’t.

The article is about the two-year moratorium on data centers that the County Council adopted in July, and about why this isn’t the finish line.

Deepest thanks to all the thousands of Prince Georgians who made this possible. That includes neighbors who packed hearings, testified, knocked doors, and refused to let their communities become sacrifice zones, as well as all the people who defended their neighborhoods then moved on to defended our rural and agricultural tier when industry-backed officials came for that too.
